Seeking Members for the GTA's
Sustainability Committee
|
In the last newsletter,
we announced the GTA was awarded a grant from the
Oregon Investment Board for the development of an
organizational Sustainability Plan. We are seeking
GTA members who would like to join the
Sustainability Committee, which will be
implementing this grant project through
2009.
This Committee would guide research
about the specific economic value created by the
GTA and similar organizations in Oregon and
Washington. Research would also gather information
about the financial outlook of sustainable trade
organizations in the state. This research would be
compiled into a white paper and used to create
marketing materials to attract new members and
sponsors and to organize the work plan, events and
initiatives for the GTA. The Sustainability
Committee would identify an ideal financial mix
for the GTA and develop a plan to achieve it.
These plans would be presented to the Board for
adoption.
Interested GTA members should
contact Jessica Metta at jessica@crgta.org or
541-296-2266. The first meeting will be soon, so
please contact her
asap. |
