Grants:
We would also like to recognize the organizations that have provided major financial support in the form of grants:

Google granted $32,000 to the GTA in October 2009 for our Technology Education Program. This will help purchase robotics kits and laptops to support youth robotics programs in the Gorge, develop semi-annual robotics competitions, and bring four higher profile technology-related speakers to address Gorge audiences over the coming year.

USDA Rural Development Oregon state office granted $10,000 to the GTA in 2009 for development of an Organizational Sustainability Plan.

Oregon Investment Board The Oregon Investment Board granted $15,000 to the GTA to support a Project Manager through June 2007 to coordinate the "Technology Business Cluster Networking Initiative." They also granted $9,300 in 2009 for development of an Organizational Sustainability Plan.

Economic Development Administration (EDA) The EDA provided a grant to Mid-Columbia Economic Development District (MCEDD) for the development of five industry clusters in the Gorge, including the high technology cluster. The scope of work for these funds includes education, research, marketing support, and an entrepreneurship workshop. The GTA directly benefits from this grant as one of the five clusters participating in MCEDD's efforts to enhance the economy of the Columbiar River Gorge.
